This New Year, Will You be the Drop of Water or the Bucket?

What can we learn from dripping water?

One drop of water on a stone every couple of minutes will eventually pierce a hole through the

stone…

But a bucket of water dropped all at once on a stone, will not do anything.

If I can teach you one thing about fitness and health it is just that.

Eating perfect, lifting weights for an hour, doing cardio for 30 mins per day… all of that means

nothing, if you only do it for a few weeks or even a few months.

You are simply throwing a bucket of water at the stone.

But what if you instead tried to be the drop of water..

Small, precise, and consistent.

No massive wholesale changes that are completely unsustainable…

but instead— smaller, progressive changes that you perform over and over and over again

without stopping.

I can tell you from having worked with thousands of people on trying to achieve their health

and fitness goals, the likelihood of your success comes down to executing on this this one

question..

What is the 1 or 2 things that if I did consistently, without missing, that over time it would

become impossible for me not to achieve my goal?

Far too often people are focused on how could they get to where they want to be as fast as

possible, but the question you should be asking yourself is how do I get to where I want to be

with as much certainty as possible.

So what is the answer to the magic question above..

Well, in my experience, it is two things.

If people do these two things consistently, it would make it nearly impossible for them not to

achieve their health and fitness goals.

And it is this..

1) Strength train at least 3x/week

And

2) Eat healthy 70-80% of the time

That’s it.That’s the magic formula.

The problem is that 95% of people will not do it.

They will continue to look for a faster way, and they will continue to get close to their goal,

without ever achieving it..

Or if they do, without ever sustaining it.

The New Year is upon us, and many people are making resolutions to be fitter, leaner, stronger,

and healthier…

So I’ll ask you this.
